WRFC: Weekly Round Up & This Weekends activities 5th & 6th April: Club Day at Home Park – Saturday 5th April 2025 –Last league game of the season!
Last weekend there was no senior rugby as neither the Senior Men nor Women had matches.
On Saturday the clubhouse was open for the Women Six Nations Internationals and for the Dames ‘Through the Decades’ Quiz which was well supported.
With the Minis enjoying the Marlow Minis Festival, the Club held a Women and Girls Open Day including Brunch in the Clubhouse. Scrummy also held a taster session the clubhouse.
On behalf of the Club I would like to thank the members of the Women and Girls Committee for all their hard work arranging the event.
With the 2024/2025 season coming to an end and the Women’s Rugby World Cup taking place in August/September the Club are focused in growing its Women and Girls sections for the 2025/2026 season.
THIS WEEKEND’S RUGBY ACTIVITY:
This Weekend both the Senior Men, Senior Women and the Colts are in league action: For the Senior Men and the Colts its their last league games of the season.
• Saturday 5th April 2025 – CLUB DAY AT THE CLUB!
o Men’s 1st XV HOME vs Reading Abbey ( Tribute Southern Counties North) Kick Off @ 3.00pm.
o Men Dev XV HOME vs Reading Abbey ( Counties 3 BOO League South ) Kick Off @ 3.00pm.
Pre Match:
Before Kick Off there will be a ‘Guard of Honour’ from the Minis & Juniors for the players.
More importantly there will be a Minutes Silence for Craig Truter, who was a major contributor to Windsor RFC Youth Section, following the sad news of his death
last weekend. Windsor RFC would like to send their condolences to Steph, Jakob, Ranger, Bale and Colt on their loss and all members of the club will be thinking of
them at this difficult time. Craig will be sadly missed at Windsor RFC.
Post Match:
Post Match the celebrations will start on what has been a successful season for the Senior Men with promotion now secured.
In addition to the clubhouse bar, Lion Brewery will be visiting the club with a temporary bar.
Penny Brass, featuring Men’s 1st XV Prop Forward Billy Porter, will be playing in the clubhouse.
• Sunday 6th April 2025:
The Senior Women have an important league match away at Hampstead RFC against Hampstead Ladies 2nd XV.
o Senior Women:
Windsor Dames AWAY vs Hampstead Ladies 2nd XV ( NC2 South East ( North West) League). Kick Off @ 2.00pm.
o Minis and Juniors Schedule:
U6 to U12 Training @ Home Park.
Damsels Training @ Home Park.
U13s - A & B Teams – Berkshire Cup Finals Day at Hungerford RFC.
U14s – Training @ Home Park.
U15s - A Team AWAY vs Basingstoke RFC.
U16s - Home @ Home Park
Colts - OBB Div 3 - B team HOME vs Shipston on Stour RFC. Kick Off 12.30pm.

• Please put the date in the diary so that the club can give the side plenty of vocal support in their quest to reach the final.
• Saturday 7th June 2025:
• We are returning to the Castle Hotel for the End of Season Dinner Dance following last years successful and enjoyable event. It will follow the same format with a welcome drink, 3 course dinner and live music from Euphoria Rock who played at last year’s event.

Come and Watch the Women’s Six Guinness Six Nationsat Windsor RFC!
Windsor RFC will be showing the following Guinness Six Nations live in the clubhouse next weekend.
• Saturday 12th April 2025.
o Ireland vs England ( Kick Off 4.45pm).
Bar Open from 4.00pm.
Kitchen will be closed so please bring your own food!
• Sunday 13th April 2025;
o Scotland vs Italy ( Kick Off 3.00pm).
Please note that the Women Six Nations on the weekend end of the 19th & 20th April will not be shown at the clubhouse as its Easter Weekend.
Good luck to the Men’s 1st XV, Dev XV and Colts in league action this weekend. Good luck also to the U13s in their Berkshire Cup Final @ Hungerford RFC vs Maidenhead RFC.
All support on Saturday and Sunday on the touchline will be appreciated by all players and coaches.
