‘The Dames had an exciting and challenging pre-season friendly at home against Wasps FC Women who finished 2nd in the league above us last season. An educational match for both sides ended in a 25-46 win for Wasps. However, the lessons learnt and decent score line, suggest a positive and strong season ahead for the Dames who proved themselves to be a committed and powerful squad.

After the initial nerves settled and Wasps had exposed their weakness in the scrum and strength in their winger, the Dames carried hard, created space, and set up some excellent phases of play to get over the white wash several times with a try for Siobhan and a braces each for Beth Johnson and Sharon Richards!!

The Dames 1st league game of the season is at home on the 17th September to Marlow at 2pm, we look forward to hearing you cheer from the sidelines as we get our 10th league season underway’
