As promised, the Club Memorial match returns this year. The Horse show have reverted to their normal date of the second weekend in May. However due to touring arrangements and the inevitable non-availabilities we are unable to hold the match during the Bank Holiday weekend.

This year the match will be on Saturday 26 April, Meet at 13:00 for a 14:30 KO, please don’t leave it to the last minute to turn up. There will be the usual charge of £5.00 a person to play, this is to cover meals and entertainment. As usual half of the match fees will go to charity, this will be the Club so that we can start the ball rolling on the refurbishment fund-raising.

There will not be any commemorative shirts this year but depending on demand may be for future matches. Please let me know and if you know of anyone willing to sponsor them.

Talking of future matches, we would like to hold them during the first Bank Holiday weekend in May, please can future Tour organisers try to avoid this weekend so that we can have the best possible turnout on and off the field.

For the avoidance of doubt, due to the age restrictions, logistics and the current Clubhouse configuration this match is for adult males only, 18 years old and above. I and the club would be delighted to have other age groups and the Ladies involved. If you would like to organize another match including these other groups please let me know.
